How far in advance should we book our DJ?
Music and entertainment are an important part of every affair. That is why, when you find the right DJ, we suggest that you book right away. Like other DJ companies, we receive inquiries for many popular dates. Sometimes, we are booked at least a year in advance. The sooner you book the DJ company of your choice for your event, the least likeliness of your not getting stuck with a DJ who was not a first choice pick.
Where are you located?
We are located in Freehold, New Jersey. We work primarily in the Central New Jersey area.
What kind of parties do you do?
We do all sorts of parties. Just to name a few, we specialize in Anniversaries, Backyard, Birthdays, Block Parties, Christenings, Communions, Company/Corporate, Engagements, Holiday, Graduations, Karaoke, Picnics, Proms, Restaurant, School Dances, Surprise Birthdays, Sweet Sixteens, & Weddings. I want to supply a list of artists and/or songs for you to play. Would I be allowed to do this?
Absolutely, you may. This is your party. You have the right to to tell us what to play and whether or not to take requests. In fact, we encourage you to give us a request list. You have the right to hear the music that YOU want to hear. Just bear in mind, that we may not be able to play ALL song requests due to the nature of the party. We play an average of 16 to 19 songs per hour.
We would like to see you perform prior to booking you. Can we come to a performance to see you?
Due to the intimate nature of the private parties that we perform at, we do not invite our potential clients. That being said, we will not invite anyone to your event as well. Instead, we can setup a time whereby you can stop by my location and I can do a ½ hour demo for you. Or, if we have a public showcase that we will be performing at, we would be happy to inform you and allow you to attend.
How would you like the DJ to be dressed?*
Let us know! We can arrive casual, business casual, semi-formal or formal depending on the affair. Appearance is everything and is your choice.
I would like to book you. What is the deposit amount and payment terms?
We require at least a 40% deposit along with a signed contract in order to secure your date. The remaining balance is to be paid at the final appointment or two weeks prior to your affair (whichever comes first). All final payments MUST be cash, certified check, money order, cashiers check or a certified bank check.
We booked our party a long time ago. How do we know that the DJ company hasn't forgotten our party?
Approximately one week prior to the party date, we will call you to confirm your date, time and any other special requests that you may have made prior. It is critical to make any final music request adjustments at least one week before so that we are prepared to make your party one to be remembered.
When will the DJ show up at the affair?
We will arrive approximately 45 minutes to one hour prior to the start of your party. Timing is everything! We will need the time to setup, test all of the equipment, and make final preparations and adjustments to the equipment.
What kind of equipment do you use? We use only professional audio equipment manufactured by the top makers in the industry. Some of the equipment we use are JBL EON 15" Speakers, JBL SF15 , JBL Soundfactor 25 Dual 15" speakers, Crown Amplifiers, Numark Mixers and Pioneer MEP 7000 DUAL CD/DVD and MP3 player. Our equipment is encased in professional road cases for protection and tidiness. The music and any announcements made will sound crystal clear and never overbearing.
Do you play your music from CD's or are you a digital DJ?
We have a system that plays MP3's from a hard drive. However, we do have the capability to play commercial CD's, burned CD's or DVD's with MP3's on them. We currently play from a hard drive with MP3's because of our ever growing library of music. This enables us to find the music more rapidly than before when we used CD's alone and is much more efficient.
Are you a NJ registered business?
Yes, we are a registered NJ based business. If the DJ or DJ company you are looking to hire is not a registered business, then what does that say for them? By being a registered business, it reflects the seriousness of the the business.
Are you insured? The answer is yes. We are insured. We carry the standard minimum of $1 million. We will always have the current policy on hand for verification as well. Many large venues actually require this. Our policy automatically adds the Venue as an Additional Insured from the time we get there, until we pack it in. And for that matter, it would be a good idea to ask the DJ company to provide proof of insurance at the time of booking.
Are you affiliated with any Disc Jockey Associations?
The answer is yes, we are a member of the National Association Of Mobile Entertainers (N.A.M.E.)
I've been to parties where there are giveaways. Do you offer this service?
Yes, we do offer this service. Our service will save you time and effort of having to go to the store and pick out things to be given away. Our give-a-ways will also enhance any party experience. It is a way that highlights many of the most popular dances. Give-a-ways are a popular extra at most parties. We have our own online store

What will happen to our deposit if the DJ does not show up for some reason?
At Spinmaster Entertainment, we strive to give the best quality of service. We do this before, during and after the party has ended. If for any reason the original DJ can NOT make it to the affair, a replacement will be obtained. In the event that no DJ can be had due to an act of God, a full refund of the deposit will be made and the contract will be null and void.
What are your current rates?
Our rates vary depending upon the type of event you are having and other criteria. Please contact us for more specific pricing information. Our pricing includes setup time, performance time, breakdown time, travel time, and all equipment and consultations necessary to plan and perform at your event. There are no hidden charges. All fees are clearly stated in your contract.
Why should we choose Spinmaster Entertainment over other DJ companies who charge less?
Other DJ's may not be insured. You should know this before you book them. Be sure the DJ can provide a current policy or Certificate of Insurance. We offer our expertise from the planning stage, right down to the very end. We have many years of experience and offer our intimate knowledge of music. We are not beginner DJ's looking to make a quick buck. We are experienced & professional DJ's with whom you will reflect upon! Everyone likes to get a bargain, right? Well, as the old adage goes, most of the time, you get what you pay for! Make sure that the entertainer that you hire is familiar with the type of music you want played. Also, be sure to ask if the DJ is using professional grade equipment. If asked, they should be able to tell you at least the manufacturer's name of the components that they will be using. DJ's who use starter equipment may not be as reliable as the DJ using professional grade equipment. Starter equipment includes manufacturers such as Gemini and Radio Shack brands.
In the end, you will receive a fully executed contract, signed by both you and Spinmaster Entertainment. Our goal is to make your party experience one that will last a lifetime of memories!

You also provide Karaoke services. Is this included if I book you as a DJ?
No, this is not included. This is an additional charge. If we provide Karaoke services, DJing is provided as part of this service. Many times, there are not enough singers, so we use music to fill up the gaps so that there is no dead air.
